It was announced that starting October 6, 2011, Boost Mobile will add an extra $5 to the monthly price for all Android smart phones data and voice plans. This coincides with the October 7, 2011, release of the new Samsung Transform Ultra. The Monthly Unlimited plan will remain the same with unlimited text, talk and Internet. All customers currently on the Monthly Unlimited plan can keep their plan at the same price, but Boost Mobile customers upgrading to a CDMA Droid phone after the October 6 cut off will be forced to pay an extra $5 per month. To offset this price increase, Boost Mobile is now including Android plans in their Shrinkage program. Under this program, the monthly payment decreases by $5 a month after six consecutive months of on-time bill payments.
